PV Power Concludes 4th Petroleum Power Vocational Skills Competition 2026

On June 26, 2026, at the Petroleum Power Nhon Trach Company in Dong Nai province, the Vietnam Electricity and Gas Corporation (PV Power) - a subsidiary of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) - successfully organized the closing ceremony of the 4th Petroleum Power Vocational Skills Competition. The 4th Petroleum Power Vocational Skills Competition attracted 120 participants from 12 subsidiaries of PV Power across Vietnam. The contestants competed in three main categories:

• Power System Operation and Maintenance: Evaluating the ability to operate, inspect, and maintain electrical equipment in power plants and substations.
• Electrical Equipment Repair and Installation: Assessing skills in installing and repairing high-power electrical equipment.
• Electrical Safety and Emergency Response: Evaluating capabilities in handling electrical emergency situations while ensuring workplace safety.

Throughout the three-day competition, participants faced numerous complex technical challenges, demonstrating high levels of professional expertise and showcasing team spirit and creativity. The organizing committee deployed experienced technical judges to ensure the objectivity, fairness, and rigor of the competition.

During the closing ceremony, the organizing committee presented awards to outstanding collectives and individuals. The Petroleum Power Nhon Trach Company secured the First Prize in the overall team category. Two Second Prizes were awarded to the Petroleum Power Ca Mau Company and the Petroleum Power Vung Tau Company. Third Prizes went to the Petroleum Power Song Doc Company and the Petroleum Power North Central Company.

On an individual level, the Petroleum Power Vocational Skills Championship title for 2026 was awarded to Mr. Tran Van Nam - an operating engineer at the Petroleum Power Nhon Trach Company. He triumphed over strong competitors to secure the top position with an impressive score of 9.8/10. The Second Prize went to Mr. Le Hoang Anh from the Petroleum Power Ca Mau Company, while the Third Prize was awarded to Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai from the Petroleum Power Vung Tau Company.
