On the afternoon of July 22, Petrovietnam Shipbuilding and Mechanical Engineering Joint Stock Company (PVSM), a subsidiary of Petrovietnam, successfully organized a fire prevention and control drill aimed at preventing theft and sabotage of assets at the company's repair dock area. The exercise was conducted under the direct command of the Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) Security Command of PVSM, with the objective of enhancing response capabilities and handling highly complex and realistic emergency scenarios.
Background of the Emergency Drill
The repair dock area of PVSM is one of the company's critical zones, concentrating numerous high-value equipment and machinery with continuous production activities. Organizing fire prevention and security drills to ensure absolute safety for assets, personnel, and the environment is a constant and important task for PVSM's leadership.
According to the PFSO Security Command, the simulated scenario was designed to replicate a situation where a group of intruders entered the dock area with the intention of stealing equipment while simultaneously setting small fires to create chaos and hinder rescue operations.
